When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.

Irma and Hay-Lin from WITCH, who for a long long time were the only characters I could stand as they didn't have PERFECT BOYFRIENDS. Well, Irma had Martin, but Martin obviously belongs with Nigel, but... um, I liked Irma and Hay-Lin for not having boyfriends. Of course Hay-Lin DID get a boyfriend, but he... is so GAY. I mean, SERIOUSLY gay. So it was okay that way, except now it occurs that Irma - poor, adorable and oh-so-uncool Irma - ALSO has got a Perfect Boyfriend. And it's not even Martin.
It makes me sad. That comic is so wonderfully pretty, but I just can't stand how those girls are made absolutely PERFECT on all accounts. |

Anyway *gets into post-rant mood* I always loved the Irma/Hay Lin friendship and their interactions... Irma the adorable little troublemaker and Hay Lin who just adores her and follows her like a puppy. Wake up girls! Your boyfriends are narratively UNNECESSARY!
